Dr Rachael Nightingale is a FACEM at Gold Coast University Hospital with a strong academic interest in infectious diseases in emergency care. She has published a cohort study on cellulitis presentations to the ED, led a systematic review on cellulitis misdiagnosis, and contributed to research on flucloxacillin’s association with thrombus formation. Dr Nightingale is passionate about improving diagnostic accuracy and antimicrobial stewardship in acute care. She brings both clinical expertise and research experience to highlight advances in infection management in emergency medicine.
