Dr Ben Symon is a paediatric emergency physician and simulation consultant based in Queensland, Australia.
He is a Simulation Consultant at Queensland Children’s Hospital, Director of Clinical Simulation at Mater Health and clinician at The Prince Charles Hospital. With over a decade of experience in healthcare simulation, Ben leads interprofessional programs that integrate systems testing, human factors, and quality improvement. He is a founding member of the Simulcast podcast, a podcast connecting simulation research to clinicians at the bedside. His work focuses on using simulation to improve safety, teamwork, and culture in healthcare, with a strong emphasis on debriefing, psychological safety, and meaningful system change.
