Nemat Alsaba is a FACEM at GCUH, an experienced medical educator with 25 years of clinical experience. She serves as the convener for ACEM ASM 2025.
Her special interest lies in geriatric emergency medicine (GEM), where she serves as the deputy chair of the ACEM GEM network and also holds the deputy chair position in the International Federation of Emergency Medicine (IFEM) GEM Special Interest Group. Nemat actively promotes GEM through workshops, resources, and educational initiatives both nationally and internationally, including her role as Convener of the #GEMSEMGold22 conference on the Gold Coast. She has led GEM research focused on end-of-life care in emergency settings. Additionally, she serves as the Director of the Bond Simulation Program and a Consultant at the Bond Translational Simulation Collaborative, holding leadership roles in simulation education. Recently, she published a book titled ” Comprehensive Healthcare Simulation: Geriatric Simulation, A Focus on Older Adults as Simulated Participants, ” which merges her passions for the care of older persons and simulation.
Outside her professional commitments, Nemat enjoys spending time with her three adult children and their three cats.
