Dr Amanda McConnell is an Emergency Physician based in Cairns with a passion for tropical medicine, trauma care, and public health in remote settings. Her clinical and research efforts are dedicated to strengthening emergency care systems across Northern Australia. Amanda has led and contributed to projects tackling injury trends and environmental health risks unique to the tropics. She is the founder of ‘Tropical Medics Connect’, a dynamic conference that brings together frontline clinicians working in challenging environments. Outside the ED, she’s a keen hiker, festival attendee, and aspiring DJ with excellent taste in beats.
