Barb West joined ACEM as her second role of her fourth career after having spent the rest of her postdoctoral career in academia (Assoc Professor International Studies, U of the Pacific), as a consultant (owner, Culture Works) and English and intercultural communications lecturer (University of Szeged). She came to ACEM from the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear hospital, where she established the equity and inclusion program for staff and ensured compliance with Victoria’s Gender Equality Act 2020. She has published 5 books, dozens of articles and spoken at hundreds of conferences, symposia and other public and private gatherings.
