Bill Nimo

Vasilios Nimorakiotakis, better known as Bill Nimo, is a Retrieval Specialist working with Retrieval Services Queensland and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) out of Charleville. He’s also an Honorary Fellow with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne. Bill spent almost 20 years as Deputy Director of the Australian Venom Research Unit, where he focused on educating both healthcare pros and the public on venomous bites and stings.

Besides emergency medicine, Bill’s interests include sports medicine and using tech to improve healthcare. Above all, he credits his family as his greatest support system, recognizing that their backing has been key to his career and achievements.
