Edd Carlton is Professor for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK) and a Consultant Senior Lecturer practicing clinically at North Bristol Major Trauma Centre. He is Chief Investigator for some of the UK’s largest and most controversial emergency randomised trials, across a number of conditions. He led the CoMiT-ED trial in traumatic pneumothorax which recruited across 40 UK sites and leads a growing portfolio of chest trauma trials. His interests include challenging dogma in EM practice, improving research delivery in emergency settings and ensuring the research we conduct is inclusive to all.
