Maureen has been advocating for patients for almost 50 years since being diagnosed with Addisons disease and founding a support group for fellow patients. She is passionate about giving patients a voice and has worked with Universities, Organisations and Colleges, including ACEM over many years. Maureen’s foremost interests are emergency medicine, diagnostic error, bias and patient advocacy. In the last few years she has been working in Research as the patient advocate for EMF and Metro North as well as advocacy in clinical governance and ethics with Australian Commission for Quality and Safety in Healthcare and ANU.
